EPA - ARCHIVES

Boston 2023.jpg

Dear friends of the Eastern Pain Association,

We hope this update finds you all in good health. We're delighted to share some exciting updates about our ongoing activities. Recently, we had a fruitful meeting in Boston, generously hosted by Dr. Jason Yong and his devoted team at the Brigham and Women's Pain Center. The engagement of various experts and specialists created a vibrant and enlightening atmosphere.

The key highlight of the gathering was the expressed enthusiasm of our fellow professionals to work together, extending the reach of the Eastern Pain Association (EPA) in the Greater Boston area. This is an exciting development, and we're enthusiastic about creating opportunities that will drive our growth and enhance our digital footprint.

In line with our previous discussions, we are planning regular virtual meetings to dive deep into current topics and complex cases. We believe this will not only help to build our community but also maintain our connectedness, even when we're apart.

We are committed to setting ourselves apart as a unique and leading organization in the field of pain management. Our newly proposed positioning statement reflects this spirit: "Eastern Pain Association: Fostering Collaboration and Advancing Pain Management."

As we strive for excellence in our work, we're eager to invite professionals from diverse fields to join our mission. By incorporating varied expertise, we aim to enrich our meetings and our collective understanding.

Our upcoming December 2nd meeting promises to be an impactful event. With an exciting agenda under the guidance of Dr. Jason Yong and Dr. Meera Kirpekar, we're enthusiastic about the potential for growth and engagement.

We're particularly excited about the trainee case presentation part of the meeting, which has garnered significant interest. We'd love for you to consider engaging with us, and you can connect with our Program & Education chairs for more details.

Finally, our December meeting offers a great opportunity for potential sponsors to join us, given the significant representation from New York and Boston. This is a wonderful chance for your company or organization to increase its visibility among our community. If interested, please reach out to Michelle for more information.

We thank all our members for their ongoing support and contributions. We look forward to strengthening the EPA's presence in the Northeast together and eagerly anticipate a successful December meeting.

Once again, a big thanks from all of us at the EPA!

Best Regards,

Peter Lascarides, DO

President, Eastern Pain Association
